| Hello Geth, come in, grab a comfy chair - there’s a nice cup of tea and plate of welshcakes, so help yourself!
Lovely to see you again, my name’s Liz, but the girls call me Sparkling
So, first off, thank you for taking the time to do this for the website, we know you’re a busy man, and about to be even busier by the sounds of it. Congratulations (if that’s the right way of putting it) on your announcement - we’re all eagerly anticipating what your next projects are going to be - you bad boy for not sharing that little gem with us at the ball!!
Us girls have put our heads together, and we hope we’ve come up with some questions you’ll enjoy so have a nibble and a slurp and see what you think…
Liz: Now you’re 30, you’re entitled to become nostalgic about your youth, so which TV programme transports you back to your childhood of jumpers for goalposts and mum calling you in for tea?
Geth: It was usually Dad that called me in for tea…actually he would whistle which would travel what seemed to be for miles…I knew then that the jam sandwiches were ready!! The programmes I watched were ‘Sgorio’ (welsh footie programme still going today) and Neighbours and Home and Away in between violin and piano lessons!
Liz: You’ve been able to travel the world with Blue Peter, but is there anywhere that you haven’t been that you really want to visit? And where would you most like to return to without the camera crew following you?
Geth: I really wanted to visit the great wall in China and witness the Northern Lights, which I actually got to do in the last month on the show. Never been to Argentina, but I think that’d be a great programme… Probably South Africa, I’d love to get a camper van and drive all away across!
Liz: We know you like your food, but having seen you on Ready Steady Cook we’re not sure about your culinary skills! If you wanted to impress someone with dinner, what would you cook? bearing in mind that setting the fire alarm off is never a good way to go…
Alternatively, when you’ve been away for weeks filming, and you’re coming home to a meal cooked by family or friends, what are you secretly hoping that meal will be?
Geth: I’m not the best cook you’re right (even though I was robbed on RSC!!!), but I do love eating it! Would probably suggest eating out if I was meeting someone!! When I get back from long away trips I’m always gaggin' for beans on toast and a cup of tea! Other than that, a roast at home with loads and loads of veg. |
